Experience all three of Edvard Grieg's virtuosic violin sonatas in one concert, performed by three different duos. Hear the musical and emotional progression in Grieg's compositional style through deepening richness that can only be developed through living life's joys, struggles, and loss. In Norway, the first violin sonata is most often played, while in the US, the third is most performed, leaving the second to be rarely heard on both sides of the Atlantic. Performing each of these exquisite works are three different duos from across Washington, each brining their own style and interpretation to Grieg's music.
